"Self Titled" Lyrics

Grace Unto The Damned --- Since the days of Adam, sin and death have been the curse of man... There’s not one among us who hasn’t seen this fact first hand And the Jews for generations slew the sacrificial lamb Until the time that Jesus came To bring Grace Unto the Damned (Chorus:) There is none without sin among us...no not one No not one Without Jesus’ blood we’d all be bound for Hell and darkness... Praise God He paid the price (Jesus is the sacrifice) and we all can go to heaven because Jesus paid the price We could "roll the dice" Ah...but in the end we’d lose... There are those who will not see things that have become so evident to me The day will come when even rocks and stones will cry out It was Jesus all along (Repeat Chorus) (Repeat first verse) (end)

The Not --- I know a guy who does not know himself All that he does, he considers his hell No room for God in his shallow beliefs All that exists to him is just what he sees And he’s blinded to the Light--yeah, he’s minus his insight But I’m prayin’ for you, my Atheist friend That one of these days you will come to understand It’s not about your lack of sight, it’s not what you’ve got, It is not for the Just, it is Just for The Not. I know a girl who is lost and unseen She don’t like to talk about everywhere she’s been She likes gettin’ high to escape from her life She can’t seem to pinpoint the source of her strife And she cries, "Let’s Legalize..." she won’t open up her eyes But I’m prayin’ for you, my dependent friend That one of these days you would just understand It’s not the ‘high’ you’ve grown to know, but higher than you’ve got--And it’s Freedom for All and it’s Free to The Not. (Bridge) The healed don’t need a doctor, the Rich don’t need relief Religious minds with their picket signs have formed their OWN beliefs The Bible states of those that Hate: they sure don’t follow Christ! Just love all people as yourself and walk in the New Life... I know some folks who would not like this song. They’d say I was a FOOL, they’d say I was wrong. They all go to church and sing Hymns from their pews But they just close their eyes to society’s views- We must know them and their needs If we truly want to plant the seeds So I’m prayin’ for you, my church pushin’ friend; In hopes that today EVEN you could understand Jesus came to seek and save a "sin sickened" lot-- He came not for the "Just" He came "Just for The Not". It’s all about the Life He gave, and the freedom it’s wrought And it’s not for the "Just" It is just for "The Not". Yeah.......

One --- Shufflin’ your feet as you walk down the road of life See who I’m talkin’ to? Average Joe...makin’ the grade all who need to know There is an Empty in your heart of hearts you may have never paid attention to; The Peace that’s missing is what I can lead you to. One who has a simple Way of Love. He’s the One that Judas kissed He’s the One--nails through His wrists He’s the One without a face He’s the One who took my place.......yeah, hey... You can choose what you want to believe, ‘cuz-hey-- this is America; Land of the spree, home of the knave The lawless and deceived generation X files past the ruins of their forebears dirty secrets. Since the future is a whole you throw yourself into, why is it hard to believe the Way of Love? Meet the One Who’s back was shred Who had thorns pressed in His head He’s the One who took your curse... He’s the One who suffered worse...yeah, hey... Go ahead and say what you will ‘cuz hey this is America-- Land of the treed home of the slave...the chains are in your heart Poor little vagabond--Don’t you realize The Answer to your problems... Any Christian Friend can point out to you and lead you to His Simple Way of Love. He’s the One Nailed to a Cross He’s the One Who paid the Cost He’s the One Up from the Grave He’s the One Whose Love you Crave...yeah, hey.. He’s the One Who is the Christ Only He gives you eternal life He’s the One Who gives us Faith He’s the One Accepts your fate...yeah, hey... He’s the One that Judas kissed He’s the One Nails through His wrists He’s the One from Death was raised He’s the One Deserves your Praise...yeah, hey

Fall Down Go Boom --- Comin’ up off the street with a carnival beat That sings the fantasy American dream; and things are maybe worse than they seem; And what are they teachin’ the children? You know they’re carryin’ their guns to the schoolyard watch ‘em as they’re blowin’ education away; it’s time for all the nation to pray; And what are we teachin’ them? Knick-knack paddy-whack givadoggabone... We give ‘em to eachother when we leave ‘em home alone; Ringaroundtherosies...Pocketfullaposies; Ashes, ashes we all fall down, go Boom. Surfin’ on the net; don’t wanna wage a bet You’ll find pornography and visions unclean; society supports the obscene; And what are they teachin’ our children? Variety the spice, like a dirty knife slice. Can we partake of this American pie? Will most of us still live ‘til we die? We gotta be teachin’ them! Knick-knack paddy-whack givadoggabone... We give ‘em to the devil when we leave ‘em home alone; Ringaroundtherosies...Pocketfullaposies; Ashes, ashes we all fall down, go Boom. Knick-knack paddy-whack givadoggabone... They’re at their own resources when we leave ‘em home alone; Ringaroundtherosies...Pocketfullaposies; Ashes, ashes we all fall down, go Boom

Between 2 Thieves --- One day...One Man...One Price was paid for all mankind One hope...One Christ delivered us Today...To you...To win is all He hopes to do... For you...He gave His blood (Chorus) On an old rugged cross He ‘counted all but loss’ To gain the Prize of you and of me... Hoisted up by all His foes to go the Way He chose ‘No Greater Love’ was shown, between 2 thieves. My Lord...My God...My words could never quite express My thanks...My AWE at what you’ve done! This day...This hope...This Love...These words I write for You... For me You gave Your Blood! (Chorus) (Instrumental--Via Delarosa scene) What pain...What Joy...What caused what Christ laid down for you Was all...the Cost...and He was willing. If you...If I...If WE...will lay ours down for His, We’ll win...We’ll reign...With Him Eternally. (Last Chorus) On that old rugged cross He simply paid the Cost For all of you and me He ‘paved the way’, And while He rose again, it’s true--He’s expecting Me and you to do the same on that Resurrection Day. It Points back to that Old Rugged Cross...

John Hoffman’s Epitaph --- Here lays John Hoffman the body he bore the likeness he lived in he walks there no more... He’s gone to meet Jesus his closest best friend but we’ll see him again in the last resurrection. Oh, what a "let down": he in the prime of his mortal years! You may not have known him but know it or not he was a man who loved Jesus... Save us a seat, John, at the table to feast the time is come slowly we’ll all be increased; and graduate life in our own separate ways beginning our days in the last resurrection... (end)

The Gavel --- Here am I singing a new song of praises and loving Christ Love is a verb it means giving and He gave His all as a sacrifice Is your faith so strong as to strike all your need and your want in this life So strong you could lay it all down and take up your cross How many Christians among us are living that "God-filled" life How many move as the Spirit wills to spread the gospel light Is your pride so strong as to quench out the Spirit of God as He is ready to speak So strong that you think there’s a inkling of good in your heart (Chorus) When The Gavel falls we will all see the light When we’re out of the darkness and there’s nevermore night Some of us will run to Him some will just crawl But we’ll all know better when The Gavel falls (2nd chorus) What will you be doing when The Gavel falls? Too many Christians among us are living in shells of stone Too afraid of the devil to peak out and boldly speak out by God’s Will alone We’re not in this world as Christians to be afraid of the "evil one" We’re to bind him and break him in the Name of Jesus and see God’s Will be done (2nd Chorus) I see in my Spiritual visions a world where My Lord is King At the Beama Seat of Christ we’ll lay at His feet every crown and every ring But I can’t have this vision for everyone here it’s up to you my Christian friend Get down on your face and repent of your way! Then get up on your feet again (3rd Chorus) And when The Gavel falls we will all lift one voice In praise to The Lord who gave each man his choice Some of us will run to him some will just crawl But we’ll all know better when The Gavel falls. (repeat 2nd Chorus)

The Price --- Time...some say that’s all that we have; At times I understand just what they mean. Life...you take the good with the bad, The terminus; the strand...the shred of hope that our dreams are one day seen Dream...the Great American Dream To only find the Plan is in the Master’s hands Things not always what they seem ‘Cuz in the Master’s Plan He sees us all with the strength to see it through He makes our lives brand new As we give it all... (Chorus) Just as He did we lay down our lives To find all our Hope’s in the Life of the Christ. Drop everything; ‘cuz you’re not your own; You were bought with the Price... Waste...some say that life is a waste. At times I sympathize, but then I ask them "why"-- Care...caught up in worry and haste...and some may criticize-- can’t see the mote for the beam that’s in their eye. Christ came not to conquer but heal and it was all His deal; He had to lose to win Odd, the paradoxial feel; a walk by Faith that’s real will never be what the world will say is right. But Jesus is the Light And we give it all... (Chorus) He (who is our only True Peace) He paid the Price of blood and an earthly reign... So that you could hear this piece and make the choice of Good-- to trade your life here for One that’s pre-ordained. So, you need not raise your hand, but right there where you stand, commit your life to Him Now receive the Master’s Plan and you will understand just why we’re singin’ this song of Hope and Love...This song from God above... And we give it all... (Chorus)

We Live Again --- The hands of time...the time it takes to know You can redeem the years the past has swallowed Through faith in Christ...impossible it seems Through fleshly eyes; but Christ came to redeem And the moral of the story is (Chorus) He died...we cried He rose and dried our eyes He lives...We Live Again Commence the fight...the fight of faith in Christ We speak His Word...our words will do the fighting The words we speak when lined up with God’s Word Anointed speech...cuz faith came when you heard We believe He rised, Praise God! All right.. (Chorus) Open your eyes...the eyes within your soul Turn from your crimes...addictions that control you The hands of time...the time it takes to know His Holy Word...you will reap all you sow And the benefits of serving slain Are worth more to Abel than to Cain Far worse to sizzle and to fizz And the moral of the story is (Chorus)

Down In The Dumps --- Down in the streets the hand of fate The poor and homeless to await To sift the silt of social hate Upon the "lower lively" state Drugs and sex in every form The constant struggle to stay warm Since from the home life you were torn A cardboard box in now your dorm (Chorus) Down in the dumps ain’t you so scared Taking your lumps life just ain’t fair It’s not a joke you keep running ‘round lost in your world Reclaim the life that once was yours Be free from "garbage-bed" and sores Inside your heart there is a door Just open up unto The Lord Belief and faith can change your world Into the former can be hurled An angel with his wings unfurled Will guide your steps just speak God’s Word (Chorus) You can release an Holy Fire Into your world add your desire In prayer to God He’s on the wire The lines are open shed the mire The Love of God is greater still Than tongue or pen can ever tell Just find His Word and read it well He’s glad to save your soul from hell (Chorus) (Repeat Chorus) (Homeless Blues reprise)
